Lawrence Kalikhman, Esquire Selected as LCA Fellow

The Litigation Counsel of America (LCA) is an invitation-only fellowship for lawyers at the top of their field. The honor society holds a limited number of seats, so there are only 3,500 lawyers who have this distinction. The LCA’s written mission details the importance of elevating American lawyers’ standards to meet and practice intentional diversity and inclusion within the legal profession.
For lawyers to earn the distinction of an LCA fellowship, they must demonstrate effectiveness in litigation and trial law. Fellows must uphold a high and immutable standard of ethics. As mentioned above, the LCA limits membership to 3,500 fellows, but there are a number of honorary fellows.

What Are the Requirements for LCA Distinction?
Members of the LCA fellowship are typically at the partner or shareholder level of seniority at their firms. They have at least twelve years of experience in appellate or trial law. Not all great lawyers come from traditional firms, so the LCA also invites Judicial Fellows, Academic Fellows (law professors/legal scholars), Legislative Fellows, and In-House Counsel Fellows. Once an attorney has accepted an invitation to the LCA fellowship, they may be affiliated as long as they wish. If someone has been a fellow for more than seven years, they will hold the title of Senior Fellow. Existing senior members must nominate new members to receive an invitation.

The expressed goal of the honor society is to support worthy causes and charities in the community. They intend to continue this mission by inspiring attorneys from a multiplicity of different backgrounds, approaches, sources, and organizations.
